Scott Flathouse grew up in Austin, TX where he competed in track and cross country in High School and also was an avid cyclist. He was introduced to the sport of triathlon while living and working in Amarillo, TX and began competing in local sprint triathlons. In 2011 he relocated to Houston, TX and became involved with the large endurance sport community in the region. After injury sidelined him from competing, he shifted to photographing friends and family at races as a way to stay involved in the sport. Scott took advantage of offers to work events as a contract photographer as a way to hone his photography skills.
Scott understands the commitment, discipline, and challenges that go into training for endurance events, and strives to create images that are as epic as the events themselves.
